Mentoring effort, parent coaching and relatives and carers networks

Who can make use of this manual?

This manual is aimed at actors who help plan and implement local efforts in the area of mentoring, parent coaching and facilitating relatives and carers networks. In other words:

  • Professional mentors and others involved in a short or long mentoring programme with a person who belongs to an extremist environment or is at risk of radicalisation
  • Mentor coordinators, professionals serving as coaches and daily coordinators for the mentors
  • Parent coaches, who are professionals and other persons, whose task it is to coach parents and facilitate relatives and carers networks for young people who are part of an extremist environment or at risk of radicalisation
  • Parent coach coordinators, who are professionals, and whose task it is to serve as coaches and coordinators for parent coaches and facilitators of relatives and carers networks
  • Managers, case workers, etc. whose task it is to organise and implement mentoring and/or parent coaching. This includes result documentation and coordination with other measures as well as ensuring that personal data are handled within the boundaries of the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data and other relevant legislation
